DDS with initiative for OpenBIM object libraries
In order to take OpenBIM a giant step further to the next levels, a standard for object libraries are seen as a key element.
In DDS' opinion, the buildingSMART datamodel - IFC - is a perfect platform for such a library.
DDS has taken an initiative to prepare and propose an buildingSMART implementers agreement for how IFC can be used for such purpose.
The project is scheduled to be finished 5. March 2012, including proof-of-concept implementation in the DDS Viewer.

DDS awarded AAA rating for the 8th consecutive year
Data Design System has been awarded its 8th consecutive AAA rating by Dun and Bradstreet, the leading provider of international credit information and credit reports.

New version of DDS-CAD Viewer
A new version of DDS-CAD Viewer available. The viewer is the fist
implemenation in the world with possibility save BIM information to the new simplified IfcXML format. The viewer also contains an integrated clash detection, support OpenBCF amongst

Hager and DDS co-operation
Leading full service provider of electrical engineering for residential and commercial construction Hager, and DDS have
signed a cooperation agreement. One of the aims of this cooperation is the integration of new, current product data from Hager in the planning software DDS-CAD.

3Q report 2011 - All time high
The financial report after 3Q of 2011 shows that DDS continues to grow and increase their market shares. The paradigm shift
from producing drawings towards working with Building Information Models (OpenBIM) with integrated calculations and capability to interdisciplinary coordination and sharing of
information using buildingSMART standards, really seems to be gaining momentum. The 3Q result of 2011 is all time high in both revenue and profit margin.

DDS user wins BIM of the Year price in the Netherlands
Veccins3D, profound user of DDS-CAD for more than five years, has recently won the “BIM of the year
competition”, an annual event organized by TNO and Bouwend Nederland. The jury decided unanimously to crown the project ‘Deventrade’ submitted by Veccins3D as
‘The BIM model of 2011’. Bauke de Vries, chairman of the jury, said: “Veccins3D has a clear vision in which the process of cooperating is paramount. The efficiency
